Help Terry Cox & His Family

On May 25, 2017, Terry Cox was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma in his lower lung (stage IV). His amazing wife, Jackie, had made him go to the doctor a few weeks prior to see about getting some allergy spray for his wheezing when the mass in his lungs was found.
The Need:
Why $100k? Terry has numerous things to his advantage – most importantly a strong faith in a God that can heal. We want Terry focused on beating this and not worrying about all the expenses that come with this kind of life-altering news. The amount will cover the numerous addeded expenses - medical expenses (seen and unforseen), wills, burial insurance, etc. along with keeping up with normal bills (rent, utilities, groceries, etc.).
The Situation:
Since then, he has met with his oncologist who specializes in the treatment of melanoma, and has had a PET scan that was normal (meaning the cancer isn't anywhere else in his body). Blood work has also been done which showed that the cancer markers they look for were good. These are answered prayers!
The advances in treatment for this type of cancer have progressed greatly in the last 3-5 years. The treatment for this cancer differs from the typical chemo drugs. This is a melanoma that travels through the blood, and therefore this treatment causes the immune system to attack the cancer cells in the blood stream. The side affects that are possible should not prevent Terry from doing most of the things he does now, including some travel and job related responsibilities. This is a fairly new treatment and we are encouraged with the results thus far.
Terry is a loving husband, father, brother, son and friend. He's loved by many, and while our fundraising goal is hefty, I'm confident we'll be able to reach it. Please spread the word and let's exceed our goal for Terry and his family.
