Help nurse practitioner with needed surgeries.

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Siddiqui but most know me as Rosie. Until last November, I worked as a nurse practitioner. On January 28th, I was found unresponsive on the side of my car. I spent two days in the ICU and was told I had a brain, lung, bone (left femur), thyroid, and liver tumors.  I am also diagnosed with Florid Cemento Osseous Dysplasia of the Jaw.  What ensued was seizures, blackouts, blindness, depression, anxiety and the loss of my income.

I started having horrible seizures to the point I could no longer be by myself. At the same time, I was divorcing and foolishly decided to move to California with a so-called friend who said they wanted to help but instead ran up my credit card. However, this negative experience provided a chance opportunity for me to fly to Charleston, SC for my initial visit with a wonderful person. We ended up reconciling and he has provided wonderful support ever since.

On September 11, 2020, I had a 3.5 cm tumor taken out of my brain. It has left me with gait and coordination issues, intermittent  blurry blindness (but my eyes realigned nicely), memory and cognitive challenges.

I will be starting PT, OT, and low vision therapy in 3 months. I will have to see my neurosurgeon for the next 3 years to ensure that the tumor has not regrown.  Most importantly, I have to have more surgeries to remove the thyroid, lung and bone tumors. This will be happening in the next 4 - 6 weeks.
I also have a jaw tumor which is called Florid Cemento Osseous Dysplasia. It is being monitored but will most likely require some type of reconstructive surgery in the future.

I am blessed to have insurance but the co-pays for medicine, doctor visits, tests, biopsies, travel, lodging and just to pay my daily bills have gotten to be very scary at best. I have exhausted all of my savings and for the first time in my life, I can't work so picking up extra shifts is out of the question. This has lead me to down size greatly as I want to fully recover and return to my passion which is being a nurse practitioner.

I had to stop going to school but I really want to complete my DNP. I can no longer drive until I am cleared which may take up to 6 to 12 months. I lose gaps in time which is why I am unable to work. And  I see many specialists which is not cheap even if you have insurance.
I have always worked and now find myself unable to do what I love. I have tried to do other things but my processing time has made me not be able to enjoy much of anything, let alone make an income to survive. I do have an amazing network of family and friends and I appreciated each and every one of you!

I am passionate about what I do as a career, but it is me who needs help now.. The donations will help offset the medical bills that are incurring at an alarming rate, allow me to get the rest of the surgeries, pay for my medicine which is about $1200 per month after insurance. The donations will also allow me to pays daily expenses,  co-pays, travel to and from appointment, therapy and deductibles.

I  am a hard working person. I love being a nurse practitioner. Not working and having bills mount is depressing and anxiety provoking.. I am 47 years old with a 24 year old daughter. I want to be healthy to continue to my life, finish my doctorate and return to work as a nurse practitioner that specializes in Behavioral health and Addiction medicine.

I apologize for the grammatical errors. I am learning how to use my adaptive equipment. I want to retain as much independence as possible. I know there are many people without jobs or affected directly or indirectly with COVID. As a medical professional I understand these times are challenging. If I could work now, I would. Unfortunately, brain surgery requires extensive recovery and therapy, and I still have 4 more surgeries to have.  I do not think I am better than anyone else but I am in need and really appreciate anything that anyone can offer.

Any donations will be greatly appreciated. No amount is too small.

Thank you so much!
