Let's Help Sweet Shelby Walk Again

Sweet Shelby started to struggle to walk. It has gotten worse very quickly. She needs an exam by a neurologist and an MRI to see if an operation can help her to walk again. She is able to move her feet and feels when you touch her toes – all good signs that an operation can help. Shelby’s boyfriend Frank E. Gordon (a handicapped pug) and mom have joined with Pugs for Pinky to help raise monies for Shelby’s exam and MRI.
The vet hospital asked that all donations be made to Pugs for Pinky so their staff is able to help their patients.

A little background on Shelby:
Elyse and Nick read an ad on craigslist for a free pug a year ago. Worried that the 7 year old pug may end up in not such good hands because she was free – they adopted her. They had never owned a pug before but Shelby was such a joy. Even though John works and Elyse is a full time student they give Shelby lots of time and attention. She has been a healthy happy little girl until her back two legs starting having trouble. To help Shelby and protect her legs they created a fundraiser for a wheelchair. They could have saved up over time for one but a wheelchair would help protect her legs and bottom significantly – so they started a fundraiser.
Shelby’s new boyfriend, Frank E. Gordon and mom read about Shelby and realized she lived close. Frank is a handicapped pug himself so it was a match! His mom friended Elyse and soon realized that an MRI is what Shelby needed. Frank’s desire is to help his girlfriend have the MRI and an operation so she can walk again.
