Disabled Vet Depression/Dental Fund

Donation protected

I am setting up this page for my husband Sean. He is a 32 year old disabled Veteran; who was medically retired from the U.S. Army. When we met he was very outgoing, loved people, loved to laugh and make others laugh, always needed to do something. He was deployed and fought in Operation Iraqi Freedom, he did not return the same man. After many struggles the Army decided he was not mentally or physically able to continue his career. We lost a lot of income and had financial troubles for awhile which caused more stress in our lives. He seemed to get worse after that. We started trying to get the help from VA that he deserved. However after the VA did not see him as often as they should have, his mental status took a downward spiral and he stopped taking care of himself physically and emotionally. We moved to get him more help and he has now been getting seen every week by his doctors. It has been a long process (about 3 years) to finally get his medication right and his mental status is improving. His physical appearance though still needs improvement. Now he does not like to be around people, never likes to leave the house, is embarrassed to be seen in public, and feels as though our children are embarrassed by him as well. I can assure you they are not! VA has made him un-employable which limits our income greatly. As a full-time caregiver to him, a full-time mother to our children, and still working a full-time job; we can make ends meet but not much left after that. We are looking to raise $20,000 dollars so we can get him denture implants to help him with his depression and to get some of his confidence back. I would like to remember the man I married. I would like my children to remeber him as i do when we first met. We would like to get this done ASAP as it will help with some of his mental disabilities as well as his physical outlook and health. This would mean so much to him bc he wouldn't  feel like he was being  judged by everyone we meet; or our children. It would mean so much to me bc I just want him to be happy in life and in love again. Our children would end up getting the outgoing, fun, charismatic dad that they deserve. We would be so greatful for all who donate even just a little bit. If we manage to get more than we are asking we would than donate the proceeds to the USO and or Wounded Warriors Project to give other disabled veterans the help they need and deserve. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Bless you.
Sincerely,
The Millers
