HELP MISSY FIGHT CANCER

I am heartbroken to share that my 8 year old Pomeranian, Missy, has been diagnosed with a very aggressive form of oral cancer known as squamous cell carcinoma. This is a very aggressive and painful cancer. The tumor in her mouth is so aggressive that by the time it was presenting any symptoms it had grown through her jaw bone and fractured it (you can see an x-ray of this under the photo section).
Because she's still young, Missy's vet believes that with major surgical intervention she can live a full and happy life. This involves removing the tumor and part of her jaw, a procedure known as a partial mandibulectomy. I have already paid thousands for exploratory surgery, diagnostics, medications, and palliative care. Unfortunately the remaining cancer treatments and surgery must be paid upfront and are very expensive. As I look at my sweet little pup it tears me up inside that I can't afford this life saving procedure. No dog deserves to die because of their owner's economic circumstances.
Missy came to me 7.5 yrs ago as a hard to place rescue who had been adopted and returned multiple times. Because of this she has severe separation anxiety and can't be away from me. This makes even the heartbreaking option of owner surrender a non-option. Missy's tumor grows larger and more painful everyday often bleeding and making it difficult for her to eat. Without your thoughtful donation Missy's pain will eventually grow too great and she will have to be put to sleep.
Missy means more to me than anything in the entire world. She has been by my side through moves, career changes, bad breakups, my boyfriend passing away, and all of life's other ups and downs. I know we don't get to keep our dogs forever, but I thought I would get more time with her than this.
