Help Save David

My name is David Ostrovsky. Six years ago I had a very active and normal life. I had a job, I went to school and I used to excersise everyday. 

From one day to the next it all changed. I could no longer walk or talk. 

I went to a dozen doctors and I kept hearing different diagnosis, all of them wrong. In the meantime, my condition continued to worsen to the point of almost losing my hearing. 

I had to do my own research to eventually find out what was wrong with me. I contrated LYME DISEASE. 

How did I get it? I went for a run in the woods in New Jersey one morning and I got bit by a deer tick that gave me Lyme disease. It's as crazy and unexpected as it sounds. From one day to the next everything changed.

I went back to my home country in Argentina, but the desease is completely unknown there so it was very hard to get treatment. I started coming back to the US for treatment, and over the past six years I've been working hard to get better. 

The treatment works! I went from being in a wheelchair to being able to walk, slowly start working again, and I was able to get a dog who's my inseparable companion and helps me get better everyday. 

The problem is that the treatment is VERY EXPENSIVE, and as I ran out of money I was forced to stop it. The biggest problem is not only that I can't continue recovering, but in some aspects I'm regressing and suffering from pain and other problems. 

I'm asking for your help to continue treatment and have a chance to get better for good. The doctors say that because I have been responding well to treatment, I have good chances to get back to my normal life, but the longer I wait the harder it will be.

I have dedicated every second of my life and every dollar I have to get better. The improvements keep me going and with your help I can finally get my life back. 

Anything helps. Even the smallest of donations gets me closer to my goal, as well as helping me share my story with others.
