<div>Our mother, Karla Martinez Bardales, has lived in this country for over 30 years. She has never had any trouble with the law. She worked tirelessly, even on holidays when most were resting, to provide for her family. Today, she continues to give selflessly, caring for her granddaughter five days a week and working on weekends to make ends meet.

<div>Tragically, she was detained by ICE while at work. Long Beach is her home. Her life, her children, and her community are here.
