Many of you know that the past year has seen me dealing with health issues with until now had no diagnosis. It has caused me a great deal of stress, anxiety and other intense emotions – as most of you will know I'm usually a happy-go-lucky kind of person who is really motivated and loving life. This period has been a weird one in terms of not feeling like myself with physical symptoms of an illness.
I have had to invest a great deal of money in medical care. It has been a long and difficult process to receive the help I actually needed just to get a real diagnosis and be taken seriously by the medical world. I've invested money, energy and time into unveiling what could be happening with me.
Recently, I got the long-awaited diagnosis that I needed for some clarity. I got positive for Lyme Disease. Lyme has always been a strong possibility due to the types of symptoms I have had. However, only recently could I afford the Igenex test (1000 CAD) because it is not covered on my health insurance in Canada. There are tests they provide but they do not have the level of accuracy required.
I know this illness is coming in my life to teach me great things and I am staying positive that this is necessary in my journey. I am taking this as an initiation into stepping into something greater than I can comprehend with my mind. There are many highs and many lows - its a rocky path. But I am learning a ton on my self and most of all I am learning about compassion and patience towards others and myself.
It sounds weird to feel relieved on hearing my diagnosis but at least I now have clarity as to what my body is going through. I am reaching out to friends and family now because I have used all my resources. I am coming to a point where I need your financial help to see this process through until its cure (hopefully). In 2017 I spent thousands of dollars on private doctors and alternative routes because the traditional medical route wasn't working. Supplements, private tests, high quality food and diet are just some of the necessities.
There is a renowned Naturopath in Victoria that specializes in Lyme's and I would love to work with her. It's a good news that someone close to me in BC works with Lyme and has good results healing the disease. You can visit her website at :Maria Boorman's Website
Her rates are quite high and the treatment will most likely be expensive. She charges 225 $ for her first consultation. After that I will most likely have to pay for supplements or antibiotics and keep eating good healthy organic foods. I am currently not able to work many hours as my health isn't stable and I need to rest and focus on getting better.
My goal is to raise $10000 CAD.
With this money I could offer to pay for my treatment which includes:
-Visits to Maria Boorman (Naturopath who specializes in Lyme)
-Visits to some good body workers (chiro and massage therapist) (I have a lot of stress in my body due to a nervous system dysfunction)
-Supplements
-Organic Food
-Will also allow me not to work a full time job while trying to heal.
