Hi Everyone,
My name is Dominique Danis. As a loyal friend to Nat I couldn't help but want to do something when I saw Raphaelle in the hospital again. As a Rockland local, I knew that the power of a community could move moutains. And it HAS!
Our original goal of $5,000 was acheived in 2 DAYS! WOW! Now with the new goal of $10,000 we are able to help Nat and Steph even more.
The money raised will be used to send the family to San Diego (as stated below) where they will perform different testing. We are hoping that the testing will give answers and help find a treatment for Raphaelle's case of ITP.
As for the reveal, I will be gradually withdrawing the funds until Raphaelle recovers from surgery.
Then I,Dominique, along with her friends and family will give Nat & Steph the money for them to prepare their trip to San Diego.

This fundraiser is dedicated to the most special, courageous, spirited and happiest girl I know. This sweet little 3 year old Raphaelle, she has Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP). What is that you ask? It is a bleeding disorder in which the immune system destroys platelets, which are necessary for normal blood clotting. People with the disease have too few platelets in the blood causing them to break out in bruises all over their bodies.
Raphaelle has been through numerous testing at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario and tried countless treatments but nothing has been successful yet. As she is one of the only cases here in Canada, the testing options have run out.
The funds raised in this fundraiser will help Natalie & Stephane (Raphaelle's mom & dad) bring her to the genetic testing clinic in San Diego to help find a different approach to solve the ITP mystery.
As a mom, I know how hard is it to see your child go through pain and not be able to help. I am starting this fundraiser because Nat is a close friend of mine and she will put everyone else's needs before her own. But now it's her time! I want to do this for her and her family so she doesn't have to worry so much about her daughter's health,just focus on Raphaelle's happiness and childhood! We all know they grow up too fast!
