HELPING GRACIE

My 12 year old daughter Gracie has been diagnosed with JME - Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy (Janz’s Syndrome). 

Earlier this year I was laid off  and in April  lost our health insurance. I have applied for government help (Medicaid and disability benefits for Grace) but it will take time for them to review and approve our applications.  In the mean time, the hospital is working with me to take care of the ER bills however, her medications, neurology and therapist follow-up appointments, are left up to me to take care of. We also have to start attending an epilepsy therapist to help her better understand what to watch for, learn her body for the warning signs, and help her cope with this lifestyle change.  Anyone who knows our family can tell you I don't ask for financial help, But I can put my pride to the side and say.....I need help and so does my daughter. Any dollar amount is appreciated. Thank you for those who donate for helping me take care of my baby girl. No child should have to go through this!

Since June 2020 she has battled migraines and seizures multiple times weekly
Saturday Morning  I found her laying on the concrete driveway behind my truck seizing. After hours of being in the ER and multiple test, she was diagnosed with JME. She has a mild concussion with two contusions on her head one on her forehead from hitting it on the bumper and the other on the left side from the concrete. She also has an abrasion on her left shoulder and left knee. 
Her injuries are slowly healing and her brain is starting to recover. Her memory still hasn’t come back 100% that will take a little time. She continues to have Migraines and Seizures  until the doctors can formulate the medicine to the right dosage.  Keep us in your prayers. We love you all!
