Help the greatest Mom of all time.

Donation protected

On September 29th, 2012, my mom Pam Graves had a severe stroke. Fortunately, we were able to get her to the hospital fast enough that they were able to reverse much of the paralysis. Unfortunately, the stroke left her mildly brain damaged. She forgets words when she's talking, and is overall weaker, and a little bit slower on the uptake than the Mom we all know and loved before.

Doctors have told us she'll likely never work again. But that's okay because this awesome lady deserves to relax for a change! She's given her all for my sister and I. I'm doing everything I can for her.

Her recovery is going well, but bills are piling up. We're trying to get her on Social Security, but as with anything in our dear government, it takes a lot of time. Likely another 3-6 months. In the meantime, I'm trying to raise money that will go towards her medical costs (I'm paying $500 a month, plus the cost of her drugs and appointments) as well her rent. ($1200 a month). I'm afraid if we don't catch any breaks that by the end of January we will be forced to give up our home.

I'm trying to raise $7500. This will allow us to keep my mother's home, as well as keep Mom insured for 3-4 months (Her insurance is $500 a month) plus help cover the costs of her prescriptions and doctor visits while we wait for the disability claim to process.

If you can't donate anything? Just sharing the link with your friends and family would be much appreciated.

If you know my Mom?

Please share your favorite stories about her with your friends and family. Tell them what a complete and total badass this woman is.

If you've never had the pleasure of knowing my Mom...

Her kickassery knows no bounds. (Well, except strokes. Strokes totally have her number...)

Pam Graves is the mother of two children. Myself, and my sister, Courtney. She was the head of our household as a stay at home mom for fifteen years before becoming a single mother of two and re-entering the workforce to conquer everything that crossed her path; from raising millions of dollars a year for Richardson Independent School District, to proving herself one of Citibank's best personal bankers. If you Google "Who is the best Mom of all time?"... "Pam Graves" doesn't come up. But she should.

5% of all donations, plus any unused funds will be donated to the National Stroke Foundation and the American Stroke Association.

My family and I thank you for your generosity.
