Dear Friends and Family,
Today has been a tragic day for all of us hearing the news about the bombing in Kabul that killed and injured many of our brothers and sisters in Kabul.
As a former Roshan employee, and many of the expats that worked along side me , we had the honor and privilege to know and work with some of the victims of this senseless act. These were work colleagues and friends who had truly impacted our lives and made us live a more protected and enjoyable life while in Kabul. I am lost with words and in complete disillusion thinking that many of those we saw daily and had brought smiles to our faces are no longer. Innocent civilians going to work on what they thought was a regular day.
In honor of our colleagues that were killed in the suicide bomb and to that of what we owe thier families, I am starting this gofundme campaign. In the hopes that we can come together to help their families in need and to try to make even a little bit of a difference to a great sadness that has come.
As many of us know, some of our colleagues were husbands, fathers, mothers, daughters, siblings and children to families to which they were the breadwinner.
Our goal is to collect as much donations as possible to financially help these families with their loss. The money will help the families that are affected with hospital bills, funeral& burial costs, food, water and anything to sustain their livelihood.
We have contacts in country who currently work for Roshan who will assist with the distribution of the funds and who will be providing the list of names of the deceased. I will be working with them to ensure the money is given to the families.
Once we have all the information I will send an upated message on the progress and the amount we raised for each family.
