Help Our Friend Javier

Our dear friend, Javier Quezada, has been stricken with cancer. His fight is against Extrapulmonary Renal Cell Carcinoma. The tumor is attached to his kidney right on his aorta artery. With a warrior-like attitude (after all, he is a former standout lineman at San Marcos H.S.!), he has just finished his third round of chemo. We are all praying that the tumor has shrunk to the size in which surgery can be performed soon at Stanford Cancer Center by Dr. Sukhmani Padda, the head oncologist, Dr. Benjamin Chung, urology/oncologist surgeon and Dr. Sandy Srinvas, Medical Urology Oncologist. He has a great team of skilled doctors and hundreds of supporters.
Javier is the VP/Community Banking Manager at Community West Bank. His employer has been been especially understanding throughout his battle. He is married to an incredibly supportive wife, Kristin. She is his rock and biggest cheerleader, who is trying to hold the house together and support her husband while working full time as a physical therapist at Cottage Rehabilitation Hospital. They have two incredible children: Kailey, a sophomore at San Marcos and Bryce, a freshman at San Diego State.
Javier is a kind, humble, and generous man, who has spent his life in Santa Barbara serving others as a coach, a board member, and a volunteer at the following organizations:
