Help Our Dad Fight Cancer

Our dad, John Benetz, is 69 years young and always has a smile on his face, the rock n roll turned up and his girls on his mind and in his heart. His girls our us, Chelsea and Kaitlyn. It wasn't until last week that Chelsea drove dad to the Urgent care after finding out he hadn't been able to eat solid foods for 3 whole months. After one urgent care and 2 emergency rooms, we received the news that he has a 2.5-3 inch mass at the bottom of his esophagus where it connects to his stomach. The mass has limited the pathway for food to not even 5mm wide thus not being able to swallow. We receive the biopsy results on Monday or Tuesday. The doctors have already told us what they think it is...Once the prognosis is official, we'll start with more tests to see if it has spread and where. Dad is temporarily staying with Chelsea and her husband while going through this period. Kait flew in for the week and our dads sister, Aunt Maria is flying in this weekend. It pains us both to start a Go Fund Me for our dad as we just recently had one for our mom a year and a half ago for stage 4 breast cancer. We keep asking when will it all stop and we keep digging deep to find more faith that we'll get through it again. Our dad was recently working as a volunteer in exchange for room and board at a Presbyterian boarding school in New Mexico. His current health situation has put him in Utah with Chelsea. We're asking for support as navigating this road to recovery and health is hard on us all. The money will go towards healthy and nutritious liquid foods, medical bills, gas to drive to and from procedures/chemo and medicines. We can't do this on our own.
