For three and a half years Debi Thomas and Jamie Looney have had a dream to create a show about reality disguised as reality TV to expose what has been hidden from the general public in corporate controlled media. The plan was to do a show called “Can We Go Nowhere Any Faster? - Socially Responsibly Questioning Authority”. When their interested benefactor passed away in 2014, Debi reached out to OWN with her idea, and instead learned the hard way that the corporate media was not interested in looking at solutions for tough problems, but rather more interested in sensationalism for ratings using media spin, misinformation, and reporting out of context.
Since then it has been an uphill battle getting their message and information out to people who could most benefit in their community and in the world. Between their life experiences, Debi and Jamie have found flaws and injustices in nearly all major institutions of society which prevent average people from thriving to their greatest potential. Unfortunately, as is the case for most celebrities or insiders who try to speak out and expose what has been hidden by the powers that be, great efforts are made to smear, discredit, stifle, or silence these brave individuals.
It has been an uphill battle financially for Debi and Jamie, because for reasons not truthfully explained, Debi had to walk away from her solo private practice because it simply was not sustainable given the structure of the American healthcare system. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because this created the opportunity to become full time truth seekers who have gone down the rabbit hole and discovered that most of what has been fed to society is a lie, and there are simply better ways of doing things.
Debi and Jamie have created a cause for their local community which is in the heart of a beautiful but socioeconomically distressed area in the Appalachian Mountain region called “SCCEEN (Save Coal Country’s Economy & Environment Network)”.
Unfortunately, due to bad press and a misrepresentation to fans as to what Debi and Jamie’s intent was through sharing their story with a desire to help others who may be struggling with similar issues, it has became difficult to get support for their projects and make a steady income. All of the work they do is for free. In spite of being promoters of the best wealth building system on the planet, they are only able to make commissions if they can build a network of people who actually participate actively by using the system. Since the general public is largely in the dark about how global finance works and how the control of money is in very few hands and is responsible for the control of every aspect of our lives, it has been challenging for Debi & Jamie to have a strong voice even though they have discovered solutions.
