Please support your friendly service staff at Morimoto Philadelphia! We understand everyone is struggling in some way; however, whether you have dined with us or not before, please consider the severity of this pandemic on our staff and their livelihoods.
Working for a restaurant of this caliber, we rarely need to ask for help. For about 98% of us, Morimoto is our only source of income and our second home. I realize we are not the only restaurant and the only employees that need help, but there comes a time where we help anywhere we can. We are in times of uncertainty and do not know when any of us will be able to return to work. As our friends, family, and guests, it would mean the world if you donated and contributed to lessen the the financial burden COVID19 has inflicted on the entire service industry staff as a whole.
With the COVID19 epidemic and the closure of all non-essential establishments, we all are facing no pay. The global impact of this outbreak is challenging many establishments, with businesses like ours, forced to close.
Non-salaried staff: servers, bartenders, runners, bussers, cooks, hosts, dishwashers are not receiving hourly wages, tips, or financial support. We face both long term and short term consequences, but food instability and rent are primary issues worrying us now. We are a close knit team who take so much pride in our service, food, company, and the place it holds in the community. We hope to have your support as we all face this challenge together, and we can’t wait to serve and feed you all again once we overcome this battle!
