Support for Melissa

It’s funny how normal, everyday life can change in the blink of an eye. Saturday, April 2nd Melissa was admitted to the hospital with a very serious infection. While not much is known regarding Melissa’s long-term prognosis, we know she is a fighter and will pull though this.

Melissa is my amazing friend (more like sister), and her family has not yet given much thought to the financial burden this will place upon them, such as medical bills, the expense of child care for the children, as well as the daily expenses such as food. So many people are asking what they can do, how they can help, can they send the family money or food.  I have therefore taken the initiative to start this Go Fund Me page in an effort to help alleviate the stress from my friend’s family as they dedicate all they have to caring for Melissa. I hope this also provides a platform for the countless number of friends and family wanting to offer their support to Melissa.

I cannot thank you all enough for the concern and get will wishes! For the person who is there for everyone else, it is time for us to be there for her.
