Help A Hero: Mike Kochman Fund

Our brother, our uncle, our friend and our hero was diagnosed with stage IV small cell lung cancer which is very agressive with a poor prognosis.  He has the opportunity to be treated in a clinical trial with a promising new drug at the University of Pittsburgh Hillman Cancer Center.  The VA , where he typically goes for medical care, will only offer standard treatment.  Due to the aggressive nature of his disease, the trial may be his best chance at increased survival. The VA will not pay for him to be in a clinical trial and he is in need of help to pay for his treatment.  

Big Mike is a Vietnam Veteran who was awarded a Bronze Star for his heroism in combat. He is dedicated to family and friends, the loving patriarch since the passing of our father.  His unwavering dedication to his faith and church are the essence of his daily life, displayed through prayer and expressions of love to all around him.  We are asking for all to help him in his battle, just as he fought for all of us.  Can you make a small sacrifice for the great sacrifice that he made?
