Help Mika build their home!
Mika is homeless and disabled. Because they receive only $771 in monthly income from SSI, they have been unable to afford housing while in Ypsi and have had very limited personal financial resources to pay for auto repair and trailer construction.
Mika’s vehicle and trailer home will function as vital transportation and housing for Mika. While not an ideal solution to homelessness, Mika and community members have decided to invest labor and resources to helping Mika make their vehicle and trailer road-ready.
The purpose of this fundraiser is:
+to fundraise money for food and gas while Mika is finishing the trailer
+to fundraise for housing costs while Mika is finishing the trailer
+to recoup costs associated with the construction of Mika’s trailerhouse.
This fundraiser is being organized by Mika and friends (Nathanael, Kim, and Shane) and has been done in conjunction with additional mutual aid efforts by folks in the Ypsi/Arbor community to help Mika by providing labor, construction space, and housing over recent months.
