Hi, everyone. If your reading this you might know me and my story, you might know someone that know's me, or you might have just stumbled across this page.
My name is NIc Squiers, i'm 31 years old, and i'm father to a 7 year old boy. I live in East Corrimal in the Illawarra Region as I have my whole life. I've been competing on the World Qualifing Series for the past 6 years, dispite many great results through out the years, travelling to all corners of the world for competitions and without a major sponsor it has chewed up all my disposable money.
In August this year I won the Open Mens division at the Australian Surfing Festival in Coffs Harbour, which qualified me to represent Australia in the ISA World Games which is in Peru in October. This is an OPPORTUNITY OF A LIFETIME FOR ME, and I have grabbed the opportunity with both hands!
I have recently become a new business owner of Illawarra Surf Academy, and the reality of coming up with the funds to get my self to compete in this event and represent my country is unfortunitely, very far away from my grasp.
With the outlook of needing $7000 to cover all costs involved to get myself to Peru to join the Australian team out of my reach, i'm calling out for any assistance big and small to help me potentaly become the Open Mens World Champion.
