Its been a very dificult year for us both. The medical bills come in on a daily basis and have exceeded $300K. We have fallen behind on almost every bill, get constant threatening letters and phone calls, and are barely staying afloat. I am in the process of selling my gun collection and rc cars to get as much funds needed to survive. Melissa is still struggling with her condition. She suffers from vertigo, and is on an immense amount of medication. We are working to get some of the copays taken care of by the pharmaceutical companies, but no progress so far. We dont want or like to ask for help, but it has come a point where we are on the verge of loosing everything if we cant get these bills taken care of or work something out with the medical companies. We ask each of you to keep us in your prayers and to please please spread the word. We need all the help we can get at this point while we concentrate on her recovery and just trying to piece our lives back together...

As most of you know on Feb 2, 2014 Melissa was admitted to the ER suffering from severe headaches and reduced mobility. Upon several tests it was found that she was suffering from not one, but two aneurisms that were leaking. She was transferred to Mobile Infirmary where she went into emergency surgery to repair the leaking vessels. Once she was moved into the NICU, she then suffered multiple strokes and a major heart attack. She lost movement on the right side of her body. After spending 16 days in NICU she was moved to a private room and began rehabilitation. At first she had no movement at all in her right side and was suffering from severe weakness, stiffness, and depression. Now after 6 weeks in the hospital she is doing amazing. She can now stand on here own and walk slowly with a walker. She is progressing each day and now its time for her to come home. The enormous medical bills and supplies needed is much much more than we can handle financially. We have relied on the support and love from our family, friends, and strangers to keep us both going. We thank each of you for your kind words and support as we both move forward past this tragedy.
