Help Me Help Bosco!

My name is Louis Rojas and I'd like to take a minute to share a story about my dog, Bosco.

When we bring pets into our family we willingly know that we will outlive them, our lifespan is simply just longer than theirs. The greatest part about having a pet is we get to choose them, and what a choice we made with Bosco. Originally named Wade, he came from a long line of beauties, but stood out among them all, mostly because of his warm eyes and friendly face. He was just what this family needed and he proved to be the greatest pick of the litter.

Named Bosco now, he lived up to his name, sweet, memorable and such a treat. He fills our home with joy and happiness and when we need it the most, he provides therapeutic care to my family during some of our darkest times; he simply adds another purpose to waking up and savoring life. Despite our health conditions, we keep up with our boy as he keeps us on our toes. He makes us stronger and stronger every day, inside and out. He makes you hopeful and happy even when times are hard. He has an immense effect over our home that with his sheer existence makes everything just seem so much bearable. What Bosco means to our family is unconditional love, healing support and happiness. I don't know if Bosco will ever know just how much he means to so many people and how he touches our lives in such a thoughtful and precious way.

Tragically we just discovered that he has Lymphoma cancer and has now a limited time with us much shorter than we ever could have anitcipated. Truthfully, we all know our pets may go before us, but it just seems so unfair that at a very young age of just 2 that he faced with such misfortune. Now it's our turn to be there for our loved one and be the support system he needs. This is the great thing about family; you're always there for each other no matter what. He stands by us and we by him, and that's just how it will be. What we realize now after speaking with the oncologist is that we can help Bosco, but it will require expensive treatments. Due to our own illness, we are unable to manage all of the costs ourselves to keep Bosco healthy and comfortable for the next couple of months, we simply cannot afford it. Friends of ours suggested we share our story and hope that others can Help Us - Help Bosco

We realize we cannot avoid the inevitable, but at such a young tender age of 2 it would almost be criminal not to exhaust all of our options to make him as comfortable while attempting to prolong his life. Bosco is full of positive energy, continues to enjoy all of what life has offered him, long walks, weekly trips to the dog park, meeting new friends at the pet store, visiting his trainer, visiting his friends in the neighborhood but most of all he enjoys spending time with his family. So please share this story with anyone you think may be interested  in saving such a brave, loyal and loving family member of ours, Bosco. We are not ready to give up or let him go without a fight, but we need help. We cannot do it alone. Please find it in your hearts to help however you can, any amount can help.

Regards,

Louis
