Meaghan is one of our best friends who has been going through a really rough time lately.
She has been in the hospital for almost two months now and doctors still have no idea what's wrong. In that time, she hasn't been able to work, keep food down, or enjoy time with her family and friends. Her daughter and fiance would love to see her come home!
Shantel and I want to raise money for Meaghan and help her make the transition from the hospital back into her home life as smooth as possible. I'm sure you know that when you are kept from working, the bills still come even though life is throwing you a major curve ball. She is on about 10 different medications at the moment, and has needed many tests and procedures done while in the hospital, and is looking at having a GI feeding tube inserted if she cannot keep the food down. When she leaves, the cost of these medications & general medical upkeep will still be there. We don't want her to worry about the cost of her well being and basic living expenses when getting sick was not her fault.
While she has been in the hospital, her family has been there visiting with her. However, the cost of cabs and public transportation to and from the hospital every day can become very expensive. Her family shouldn't have to worry about spending money when they want to provide her with support and comfort.
All we are asking is for any donation at all. We want to help get our friend back onto her feet, and ease the stress of every day life when she should be worried most about her health. We want to make things as easy as we can for her!
