Help Louis get home & Medical Bills

My cousin Louis Zamarripa traveled to Cancun Mexico on Saturday November 11, 2017 thinking he was going to have a fun safe relaxing vacation.  By Monday he was sick in bed and my cousin Angela called the resort doctor to the room on Tuesday.  The doctor called an ambulance right away and Louis was taken to Amerimed Hospital.  They demanded money right away ($3,000.00) which was given so they can start treating him.  The doctors said after looking at his x-rays that they couldn’t believe he was still alive! Louis’s lungs were infected with pneumonia 90% so they had to put him in an induced medical coma to put him on a ventilator in the ICU.  He has Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome and his kidneys are not functioning properly and is very sick! The doctors are stating he will be needing a kidney transplant. He is still in a medically induced coma and will be until his lungs heal enough.  So far, he has been in a coma for 6 days and the doctors state that his lungs are slowly healing but still not where it needs to be to fly home.

My mother Anita flew down there last Wednesday to help him and has been so stressed dealing with this hospital! Amerimed Hospital keeps demanding more and more money!!  So far, my parents have given them $37,000.00 and my Grandpa has taken a loan out of his house to pay $31,000.00 to fly him home in the Air Ambulance.  Hopefully he gets approved today for the Loan, but the bank could take a couple more days with the approval. The hospital keeps threatening my mom that if she doesn’t pay more money they are transferring him to this county hospital! Which is about an hour away and who knows what care they would give Louis.  The county hospital may not have the proper equipment to treat him with which will not be good for his health!

The Amerimed Hospital bill so far is over $109,000.00. They told me this morning that they want payment ASAP!  Being that the hospital is out of the country and out of network  our Insurance works different then how Mexico Insurance works.  The Hospital will not contact our H&W Fund office at all!  (Which is just so insanely wrong!)

 The doctors from the Cancun Hospital, Christ Hospital and the Air Ambulance are talking it over and making sure his lungs will be able to make the flight back home. I just heard that hopefully tomorrow the Air Ambulance will fly him to Christ Hospital.  So we are praying that comes true! 

We are asking for prayers and any donations to help get Louis back home and to help pay his medical bills!
