My 5 year old granddaughter went to Macedonia recently on holidays with her father. She has ADHD and learning disability. Last week, she fell from the third storey of a building and suffered extensive head and brain injuries just 2 days before they were meant to return home to Australia.
Vanessa received an emergency operation that took 6.5 hours by 5 doctors and several nurses who thankfully helped save her life... but since then, she has had 2 seizures and has been moved to a bigger hospital in the main city. Her medical expenses are high and her mother, my daughter, has 2 other children to take care of. One having autism and the other is only 7 months old. She and Vanessa's father urgently need help with the cost of Vanessa's medical care while in Macedonia and to be able to bring her back home with specialist care. My daughter is also having to pay for accommodation in the main city near the hospital possibly for weeks.
This is a terrible tragedy from which we are hoping Vanessa will recover but she will need ongoing medical care for some time. Myself, her grandmother, am on a disability pension so I am very limited in how much I can help out financially. Please, any donations to help Vanessa would be so gratefully accepted.
All monies are going directly to my daughter in Macedonia.
