Hi Everyone,
It is with a broken heart that I share with you that I have Stage 4 Metastatic Cancer that has spread to my lungs and bones. I am in complete shock about my circumstance and am navigating a prognosis that will ultimately put a time limit on my life.
I am choosing to be an anomaly and do not see this disease taking me down. I have way too much work left to do in this world and decades to do it, but in order for me to survive this I am taking a multi-dimensional approach. In addition to conventional medicine I will be and already have started to work with holistic practitioners, therapists, nutritionists, acupuncturists, etc to come at this with everything I possibly have. To love and nurture my physical, mental, spiritual and emotional bodies throughout this delicate healing process is my goal so that the healing can fully stick this time.
This healing has already turned into a full time job and I unfortunately will not be able to work throughout my treatments. I am asking for your help because I really need it. My last experience with breast cancer left me bankrupt and I have just started to recover financially from that and now this is happening.
I am devastated, heartbroken, and scared. I am also full of life, hope and love for all that is happening to me and love for all of those in my communities.
At this time I am unsure of where I will be treated as I will spend the next couple of weeks getting a lung biopsy and a second opinion. I will be traveling between San Francisco and Los Angeles for these opinions and will need to pay all alternative therapies, second opinions and even portions of my treatment which insurance does not cover out of pocket which is making this all incredibly expensive.
I am opening my heart to my communities and this world and will share my journey as I navigate these very difficult waters so that I may help others do the same.
I am at a loss at this time for much else to say besides how absolutely and incredibly grateful I am for your support. If a monetary donation is not easy for you, a prayer is all I need. I appreciate you all in advance and will keep you updated as my story continues to unfold.
