There are pros and cons of being your own boss…
Pro: You don’t have to call anyone to let them know that you’re sick.
Con: If you are sick, you can’t work. If you can’t work, you can’t make money.
Kris has been diagnosed with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer which is non curable (5 year survival stats for this are 1%). Chemotherapy is scheduled to begin this week and Kris is going to need to take care of himself and take it easy for a while. Easier said than done though really when you’re worried about how to make ends meet and cover medical and everyday living costs.
It was already going to be an uphill battle to keep Kris on his backside and let the chemo do its work as he’s not the kind of person that knows how to do nothing, but, for his own health and wellbeing, he’s going to have to learn quick smart! It would take a massive load off our shoulders if we could make sure we don’t need to worry about how to make ends meet with all of the additional costs we are currently facing.
