Help Karin Fight For Her Life

Karin is 2 years old and is fighting for her life at Childrens Hospital in Los Angeles. After being diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia) she underwent intense chemotherapy treatments, bone marrow biopsies and transplant. This  took away her ability to walk. It took weeks before she was able to walk without pain, but  being the little fighter she is, Karin eventually entered into remission and began to enjoy life again. She began playing and having fun like a typical 2 year old. The first day I worked with Karin and her family, in her home, I saw a brave little girl with a strong and beautiful spirit. During each visit I witnessed a family dynamic filled with love,  patience,  support, and encouragment.  As we all played, I saw  the light in her eyes becoming  brighter and brigher, and her sense of humor beginning to resurface.  It was clear to me that her family is her rock. Its no wonder this family touched my heart in such a big way.


Last week Karin became sick and after some tests, we recieved the devastating news that the cancer has returned. The chances of her entering into remission again are 50/50.  Her family needs support. Her Father has missed several days at work in order to be there for his little girl. Karin's two siblings need to be cared for and the family's support network is minimal.  Food costs, rent, bills, childcare etc. has caused much added stress to an already overwhelming circumstance. Your donations will go directly to these expenses.
