Steve & Jody's Battle with Cancer

We are passionately asking all of you for emotional and financial support to help Jody & Steve fight a dual battle against cancer and its residual effects, which has drastically altered their lives and put them in a desperate situation.
Steve & Jody (married 34 years) have worked hard all their lives to support their family. They also served their community and gave generously of their talents, time & money to those in need. Now, they are the ones who urgently need help. Neither had insurance with their jobs… and now neither can work.
This is a true “swallow your pride and ask” time. Steve has been diagnosed with glioblastoma (an aggressive brain cancer) and very recently had surgery to remove the tumor. Unfortunately, doctors were unable to remove all of it. The pathology shows it’s a Grade 4 (highest is Grade 5). Steve is now undergoing chemo, radiation & faces additional surgery just to keep the cancer at bay. It is treatable but not curable. He is only 59… a vibrant and loving man, an amazing father of 3 who has always worked hard to provide for his family and others.
Jody, a Stage 4 breast cancer survivor, is now fighting the residual effects of bladder cancer. She will never fully regain her strength back due to the the massive amounts of chemo she received. This latest battle has left her very weak and unable to work, she must live with an urostomy bag the rest of her life, and is dealilng with kidney issues. Jody has always been a giver, a nurturer - thinking of others first.
Life is fragile and the unexpected can happen to any of us…
What would you do in a few short years? Would you make the most of them or hide from your fears?

No matter what the future brings, or what may come to be, nothing can steal each hug, each kiss, each priceless memory!
Steve & Jody have used all of their life savings and have filed for emergency SSI and disability due to their medical issues. But they need help now... not a year from now when/if the paperwork gets through the system. They have no “luxuries” like cable, cell phones or internet. If they lose their home on top of everything else, it would be unbearable. They need help for the basics: home, food, utilities.
We, as family, have stepped up to help financially and emotionally. Their three children do what they can to help as well. Everyone is chipping in, but there is only so much we can do and the situation has become quite desperate! They need prayers, support, love… and financial help. They have been through so much.
