Help Jodi Beat Breast Cancer

On January 24th, 2018 my mother Jodi was diagnosed with invasive ductal breast cancer.

The doctors recommendation is to begin Chemotherapy prior to having a mastectomy. Mom & dad traveled to Grand Rapids on February 27th to have her port inserted in her chest, to receive chemotherapy treatments right away. Chemotherapy will be once a week, for the next 12 weeks at Cancer and Hematology Centers of West Michigan in Grand Rapids. With her first chemotherapy treatment beginning today. After the 12 long weeks of receiving treatments and as long as the cancer has not spread into her lymph nodes, a mastectomy will be scheduled. Mom will Continue to receive herceptin put into her port every 3 weeks for the next year.

During the past few months my mom has stayed positive and upbeat, determined and dedicated to do all she can to beat this cancer! My mom is a licensed esthetician and for the next year or so, she may not be able to see her clients on a regular basis. Your donation will help cover the cost of medications and treatments that may not be covered by insurance. Will also help with her traveling expenses for going back and forth every Tuesday to Grand Rapids for treatments and doctor appointments. We greatly appreciate your kindness and generosity!
