Hello,
It's been seven (7) after having been properly diagnosed & re-diagnosed (totaling 3x) with Advanced Stage Breast Cancer. My official diagnosis (non-medical terminology) is Stage IV Triple Negative Bi-lateral Breast Cancer with Metastasis to both lungs.
I have been doing Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy (before surgery) to reduce the size of my tumors. Chemo is my only weapon for the type of breast cancer I have, Triple Negative. I have grown and continue to grow more spiritually and emotionally. I would never of imagined, I nor others, with serious illnesses could have the strength, courage and determination that is needed in such a challenging time.
I have been blessed with a supportive husband who has and continues to do so much on the domestic home-front while balancing being my main caregiver, fatherhood and the breadwinner. I am so proud of my 2 daughters (ages 8 & 12) who have and continue to be my 'helpers' while being good kids and excellent students. I am thankful to the many people who initially reached out to me and my family with 'Special Thanks' to the few that continue to check on us, make meals, take my kids out so they can still be kids, run errands for us, provide a shoulder to cry on and be my cheerleaders on my really tough days. I am SO GRATEFUL to my 'Special Family/Friends/New Friends' that help me keep fighting the fight (you guys know who you are because I tell you)! I would also like to send 'Special Thanks to a few of my husband's co-workers 'Extended Family' who continue to support him as well. Thank you to all for your continued prayers & best wishes.
