Jennifer's Dream To Go To College!

Jennifer Aguilar is going to be the first person in her family to go to college. When I first met her, she was only 7 years old, and I noticed she was exceptionally bright and optimistic.
Her parents immigrated to America a little over 20 years ago looking for a better life. Jennifer made a promise to them and herself, to advance her education and be successful. While her dad works at Town Fair Tire and her mom cleans houses, she overcame the stereotypes associated with her background. Jennifer is graduating at the top of her class from Bridgeport’s highly competitive magnet high school with a GPA of 3.97! This is a photo of Jennifer winning the Debate Team Championship.
She has been accepted by the University of Connecticut in Storrs, and has ambitions of becoming a doctor or an engineer.
Jennifer is receiving a $13,000 scholarship from UConn but unfortunately that’s not enough and needs to raise $18,000. Her parents with a combined income of $40,000, have already sacrificed so much to get Jennifer as far as she has come today. Further financial aid and grants are not possible at this point. She plans to apply for all eligible aid and grants next year.
