Support JBD While Closed For COVID-19 Pandemic

Dear Friends,
Jen here, owner of Jen Burrall Designs and the JBD Shop on Munjoy Hill-a natural lifestyle boutique and home of my jewelry studio and showroom in Portland, Maine.
I have made the decision to close my shop due to the COVID -19 pandemic and how quickly it is spreading in Maine. It was a difficult decision to make because as a small business with tight margins I want to be able to stay open. But the dangers involved are not allowing me to continue as I normally do. I do not want to contribute to the spread of this virus in any way. In doing this, I am not sure how I will cover my overhead and support my 7 year old son and I(as a single Mom). Many of you have watched Devynn grow up, as I have been bringing him to work with me at times since he was just a few days old. This truly is a small(micro) family business and I depend on daily sales and web orders to cover costs.
My goal amount covers paying for April and May rent and utilities and supplies to make orders and of course living expenses. I will be making jewelry and filling orders as they come in and if they come in.
I know we are not the only people in need right now. But if you feel like chipping in $10 or $20 for the sage stick or resale clothing top you may have bought this week (or more for that fab pair of earrings you've been eyeing) that would be greatly appreciated. Every dollar counts!

I have applied for a SBA Disaster loan as our area has been deemed eligible as of last night( thanks Governor Mills)!! That could take months to come thru if at all unfortunately. I may not be approved. It is also a loan with interest that I will have to pay back while recovering from this mess so its helpful, but not ideal.
I will continue to focus on staying connected via social media platforms with my silly videos and pics of my baubles, website blog posts and my email newsletter( you can sign up for it on my website)!! Maybe I will even figure out how to show those interested some jewelry making skills and hacks-stay tuned!!!
I cant wait for life to be back to "normal". I genuinely miss seeing all of you in my shop, having great convos and lots of laughs.
