Jeannie & Family Needs Your Help

NU Friends, Northfield Friends, Friends of Jeannie Bone or Janessa Stallings:

With all that I do to help promote and help others in need, you know I have never run a Go Fund Me fundraiser - but I am desperate.  I cannot help but to act now, as I hope you will, to assist our friend Jeannie in her and her family's time of need. Jeannie has - for the fourth time - been diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer, which, the doctor's say is unresponsive to chemotherapy and radiation. 

She is now wanting to spend her remaining time left as close to Janessa (her daughter) as possible, who is stationed in VA.  Due to several medical set-backs and unexpected expenses,  Jeannie and her family have no available funds left for the move, or even for end-of-life care. She cannot imagine not being close to Janessa right now and has NEVER asked for help for herself...in fact, she was reluctant to tell me her situation and would never be able to ask you personally...

The former owner of The Square Biscuit of Northfield, and parent to Norwich Alum and present member of the US Navy, Janessa Stallings, Jeannie and her family spent years in Central Vermont helping others. After Tropical Storm Irene devastated Northfield, their restaurant served hundreds of free meals to those affected the most. Even still, Jeannie is volunteering when she can at area senior centers and other organizations (which also helps her to remain motivated to focus on others and not her own situation.) Most will never know how generous she has been with her time, talents and money when it came to others...but her time has now come and she needs any financial help you're able to provide.

Due to her medical prognosis, Jeannie's goal is to move to Virginia to be with Janessa no later than July of this summer. Please - can you give something today? Any amount will help, but please - if you can - give something.
