Help James for His Girls

Life is always full of surprises and nothing is ever certain. Sometimes what comes is something we least expect and can rob us of our laughter and joy.

After being an Elementary School Principal from 2009-2015 and Interim Principal for 6 months at Beijing International Bilingual Academy, our friend, James Helbringer decided to go back to Santiago, Chile to be closer to family where he was being sought out by other schools looking for a passionate and innovative leader. Tragically, less than a week after celebrating his 43rd birthday, he suffered from a brain aneurysm. James’ aneurysm was very severe. After weeks in the ICU, he was taken out and placed into an intermediate level of care (still in hospital) in early November. Within days he had Vasoconstriction and an Associated Stroke in his Frontal Cortex which put him back in the ICU for another week. While he has been released from the hospital, he still has a significant amount of healing in his future. The permanent damage will not be known for at least another 6 months. As he continues his journey of healing, he will be unable to work.

James’ devoted wife Javi and their three girls, Aixa, Alex, and Alia are standing strong alongside him as well as all of the love his friends, near and far, have helped carry them all through this unexpected and emotional time. We are hopeful that James will bounce back from this and be as good as new. He will go back to play soccer with his girls again and be the jokester that we all love and adore. James’ path to recovery will be slow, long, and expensive. This is why we, James’ friends, are reaching out to seek your help.

Please help James’ road to recovery be as stress free as possible by eliminating the financial burden of medical bills and day to day expenses while he is unable to work at this time. He has been given a second chance in life to continue to be the husband, father, man, educator, and school leader that we all know and love him to be. Please help allow him to continue making a difference around the globe and an inspiration to so many.
