Help Needed Due To Hurricane Harvey

My son, John (Jack) West, a disabled combat veteran was in the ARMY for 10 years, served 2 tours of duty in Iraq, and now suffers from PTSD. He lives in Katy, TX where his home and car received significant damage due to flooding during Hurricane Harvey. Unfortunately he did not have flood insurance.


Although the water in his house only reached 10”, it was enough to cause damage throughout the house and garage.  All the walls (up to about 2 feet) need to be repaired. All the doors and all the laminate floors were warped and need to be replaced. He will also need to replace the lower cabinets in the bathrooms and kitchen, and all the baseboards in the entire house. Of course all the appliances are ruined except for the stove. He also needs to replace some furniture.

His car was totaled and he’s had to purchase a new one. He has two boys (10 and 12 years old) and their toys and clothes that were kept at his house were ruined.
