Cathy's Street Dog Aid Project

In 2017,  I spent a day volunteering at the Phuket Stray Dog Pound in Thailand. It was heartbreaking to see the lack of resources to care for 500 - 600 dogs. I knew I had to do something to help make there lives, at the pound,  better.

The dogs are cared for by only 2 full time staff and  2 full time volunteers.  One of the hard-working volunteers is Toni Jessop from the UK.

Toni has told me that many of the dogs die from blood parasites which come from the ticks. The staff and volunteers know that if they could treat the dogs with Bravecto ,an effective flea/tick treatment, it would make a big difference in there lives.  This is the most effective treatment for ticks, fleas and mange. Bravecto is not cheap . However, over the long term, can actually work out most cost effectively.

I will be returning to the pound in late February 2018 and hope to be able to have the funds to begin treating as many dogs as possible. 

Could I ask that everyone who wants to help, consider a gift of $25.  Of course, if you wish to contribute more, it would be gratefully appreciated.  At $25 each, we would need 400 people to help us bring the needed relief so desperately needed by these wonderful dogs.
