My mom, Kay Rechnitzer, had been suffering from debilitating headaches.  November 10th she went to the doctor hoping to find relief from her constant pain.  Not finding an obvious clue, the doctor scheduled her for an MRI.  By the day of her MRI,  Thursday the 13th, she had lost most of the vision in her right eye, and the pain was unbearable.  The radiology tech found "something" in her scan, and she was admitted to the hospital.  After many more painful tests, it was determind that she had 3 brain anuerysms.  One of which was measuring nearly 15mm! Tuesday the 18th she had brain surgery where a portion of her skull was removed, a titanium clip was placed on the anuerysm, then her skull was screwed back in place, and her skin was sutured with 19 stitches.  Only time will tell if her vision will return and if the headaches will subside.

For now the main course of action is REST.  This will prove to be hard for her as she is a tough lady who likes to do things herself.  One thing I do know about my mom is that her mind rarely shuts off.  I know she is worried about medical bills and finances.  With all the hospital bills looming, and knowing she has many upcoming therapies, I don't want the stress of these things to hinder her recovery in any way.  Please consider donating, even a tiny amount, to help ease the financial burden from spending 7 days in the hospital, 2 days in the ICU, not to mention brain surgery!  I would give anything for my mom to be able to live pain free, and have her vision fully restored.
