Helping Hands for Henri

This is Henri! He’s an amazing little guy. He’s a fairly typical little boy who loves to play with cars and trucks. He’s very curious about empty boxes. He loves to grab his two kitties and give them a good kiss! He has certainly had his share of challenges in his young life. Henri was born at 27 weeks with underdeveloped lungs and spent the first 3 months of his life in NICU. He was diagnosed with chronic lung disease, but this was not the end of his struggles. It was also discovered that Henri has severe to profound hearing loss. He just received cochlear implants in October. We are now working on teaching Henri how to listen and speak. I thought I was done with bad news when Henri left NICU. This was not the case. Last week we noticed a sizeable lump on his right side. On the 2nd of April, Henri was diagnosed with having a Wilms Tumour. This is a tumour of the kidney. We have surgery this week to remove the tumour. In addition, Henri will need me at home to care for him when he is receiving chemotherapy in upcoming months. Henri is a fighter and we will get through this. However all of these medical challenges have been a lot for our family both emotionally and financially. These appointments require travel and me to take excessive time off work. Far more than what my sick leave could cover.
Any "helping hands" would be so appreciated during this difficult time.... being able to focus on Henri's medical care with less financial strain is beyond appreciated.
