UPDATE 7/30/2012. Effective immediately, I am closing the account to accept donations. However, if you would like to continue send support and prayers, you may post to site. Thank you ALL for your kind words and donations.
UPDATE 7/28/2012, Joann is getting stronger and stronger each day. She is still at home recovering. Thank you all for your monetary donations, your prayers and support. There has not been many visits or much action on the website, so I will be leaving it open for through the end of July. Please take moment to share your thoughts and any donation, and pass to your friends and family. Thank you again for sharing your warming hearts.

UPDATE 5/30/2012 Joann is still going to dialysis three days a week. Her new snack is protein bars after dialysis. Please continue to spread the word and pray. Thanks everyone!

UPDATE 5/12/12, Joann is home...YAY! She is undergoing dialysis, as I type. The doctor's have postponed a transplant for at least 6 weeks due to her condition. Please continue to pray and pass the word.

UPDATE 5/9/12, Joann was admitted to Montefiore Hospital following dialysis on Monday. She has an infection, and unstable blood pressure. They are also concerned of pneumonia due to the high doses of steroids. Please continue to spread the word to help lesson her financial burden. And the prayers and kind words help her stay positive. (no flower deliveries permitted due to health concern on transplant unit)

UPDATE 5/4/2012, Joann is home and doing well. She is very weak and tired, but upbeat. Please continue to pray.

Please help to ensure that Joann is able to receive the best treatment with the least amount of financial burden possible.

Joann (Kumpfmiller) Miller is 30 years old, and is happily married to, Andy Miller and they reside in Butler, PA with their loving animals. She is the daughter of Joseph and, the late Barbara (Fisher) Kumpfmiller. She is a graduate of Slippery Rock High School, class of 2000.

Joann is starting dialysis on May 4, 2012. Her brother, Mike Kumpfmiller, is currently undergoing testing to donate his kidney.

Joann was diagnosed at the age of 13, with MPGN (membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis). At this time, she received her first transplant. This kidney was donated by a family member and lasted approximately 3 years. Following this, she was placed on dialysis. At the age of 19, she received a kidney from her, oldest brother, Brian Kumpfmiller. She currently has this kidney; however, the kidney is failing.

These donations will be used to fund her daily living expenses, transportation costs, and medical bills.

Thank You for visiting. I will keep everyone updated on her progress.

Warmest Regards,

Bobbi Jo (McGregor) Kumpfmiller
