One year ago, my sister-in-law Vivi was diagnosed with breast cancer, and with the emotional and financial support provided by you, by her friends, and by her family, she was able to undergo treatment to fight the cancer.
There are no words to describe the gratitude I have for each and every one of you.
Unfortunately, to the dismay and grief of all of us, the cancer has metastasized, or spread, to her bones. After feeling pain in her legs for three months, this past week the doctor confirmed she has bone cancer and Vivi started radiation therapy right away. She has paying for treatment on her own through the minimal salary she makes as a self-employed vendor in Paraguay.
Vivi Vallejos is a loving mother, supportive wife, hilarious aunt, and a caring friend to anyone who crosses her path.
The health system in Paraguay, a small, developing land-locked country in South America, cannot subsidize the medical treatments vital for her survival. After working vigorously on her own to support her family with the support of her husband during this difficult time she has finally asked her family and friends for help. After one year battling breast cancer, the fight has to begin again.
We are reaching out to you again for help. At the age of 40, she still has so much of life to see, including the growth of her young son and dreams of her start-up business to bloom. We are asking for $4,000 to assist with the cost of treatment, test and medication.
Every penny counts towards the efforts of this cause and any donation, no matter how small, will help increase the chances of Vivi's survival.
