Helping Valerie and her kids

Donation protected
UPDATE:
We are saddened to announce that Valerie has passed away this morning in her sleep. Valerie’s family is so grateful for everyone’s support through this journey. Any donations will be put towards arrangements for Valerie. Thank you all again for the support, prayers, and donations. They are greatly appreciated.

This past September Valerie Gianos was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer, which has spread to her hip, pancreas, lungs, and liver. The cancer has progressed aggressively and she has recently undergone surgery to remove a mass in her colon. Due to the cancer being stage IV, the recovery process has been very hard and Valerie is too weak to receive chemotherapy treatment. She is completely bedridden and relies on the help of her family members. She has always been a working mother until the time of her diagnosis a few months ago. Valerie has six kids, the youngest being 14 and 17. She is receiving hospice care assistance at this time, but her insurance only covers a nurse or caregiver coming to assist her once a day for about 20 minutes due to her financial status of being low income. Valerie’s two oldest daughters are her main caregivers but she also receives help from other close family and friends. If you are a local of Temecula, CA or are simply passing through, Cheflavor in Vail Headquarters on Temecula Parkway, where her daughter Alyssa is a chef, has a donation jar in which 100% of the proceeds, as well as this fund, will go towards bills and care for Valerie and her family in this crucial time of need.
