Helping Valarie to Get the Hero Arm

Hello, I'm Jamekia Phillips, the sister of Valarie Price. We have been on a two-year journey helping Valarie to regain normalcy after battling Leukemia. In 2019 this life-changing illness caused Valarie to become Septic which caused her to lose her hands and feet. Valarie now requires 24-hour care because she can no longer do the essential functions independently. Being introduced to the Hero's arm has given us hope. Having this new innovating technology will be another step to helping her achieve this independence. The team at Open Bionics has been great with assisting Valarie with charities that provide funds to assist in helping her get the Hero's arm. However, we're still far away from the goal of purchasing the component and traveling to and from the Denver, Colorado clinic. The total charge of a single Hero's arm is $14,599.00, and Valarie needs two. We have pending donations of $7,294.52 with a  remaining goal of 21,903.46. Getting both arms will help Valarie on her journey of becoming independent again and regain confidence that she can once again do basic things on her own. The journey to recovery has been challenging, but we have to be resilient to get Valarie back to a life of self-independence. Your donation will be truly appreciated.
