<div><strong><em>Help Trent Rowing Club Change Lives — One Stroke at a Time </em></strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Rowing has long been seen as a sport of the elite, but at Trent Rowing Club, we’ve always stood for something different.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For over 160 years, we've fought against elitism and privilege in rowing. We believe this beautiful sport shouldn't be locked behind private school gates or exclusive fees. We prove — day after day, race after race — that rowers from all backgrounds can achieve greatness.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><em>➡️“If you don’t look at rowing as elitist and privileged — then it isn’t. At Trent, we don’t. We just row hard, support each other, and make it work.”</em>
</div>
<div>— Ania, Junior Captain
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>At Trent Rowing Club, we don’t just teach rowing. We build confidence, resilience, mental strength, and belonging — for every young person who walks through our doors.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We're a small, volunteer-run club based on the River Trent, and against the odds, our junior athletes — many from low-income families — are beating some of the UK’s top rowing clubs.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>❗️10th</strong> out of 107 clubs at the 2025 British Championships
</div>
<div>❗️Regional<strong> </strong>Champions<strong> - #1 </strong>in<strong> </strong>the<strong> </strong>East<strong> </strong>Midlands
</div>
<div><strong>❗️‍Five national medals</strong> in 2025 alone, with only 10 athletes competing
</div>
<div><br />
</div>

</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><em>➡️ “We may not be a big squad, but we have big dreams — and even bigger goals to achieve.”</em>
</div>
<div>— Ania, Junior
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong> But Behind Every Medal Is a Struggle</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our success comes not from facilities — but from passion and persistence.
</div>
<div>Our equipment is outdated. Our blades are over 15 years old. Our only coxed quad — Furniture Monkey — is 20+ years old and reaching the end of its life, even after delivering 5 medals in 18 months.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We’ve raised £45,000 to build a new boat shed to support our growing squad, but we need £50,000 more to complete it.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We want to expand — to welcome more young people — but we’re held back by lack of space, gear, and funding.
</div>
<div><br />

</div>
<div><strong> Rowing and Mental Health: More Than a Sport</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This club is more than a place to train. For many of our athletes, it’s a lifeline.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Rowing gives structure. It gives purpose. It gives peace.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In a world where young people are facing rising anxiety, isolation, and pressure, our squad offers something rare: a supportive, safe, uplifting community.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><em>➡️“Rowing isn’t just about physical fitness. It’s helped me stay focused, motivated, and mentally strong. We support each other — in training and in life.”</em>
</div>
<div>— Ania, Junior Captain
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We’ve seen shy teens become confident leaders.
</div>
<div>We’ve seen struggling students find strength through sport.
</div>
<div>We’ve seen friendships form that change lives.
</div>
