Helping Toby Heal

We just adopted Toby 1 month and 1 day ago, and he has been the sweetest dog we've ever met. Unfortunately, Toby was running while playing with other dogs at Ferguson Dog Park last night (October 5th) and stepped in a hole. As soon as he stepped in this hole he began to scream like we've never heard a dog scream before, the entire dog park was in shock. We quickly picked up our dog, raced to the car, and called every vet in Bloomington, IN. Each recommended going to IndyVet, which was an hour drive away, so we began our drive. Toby was screaming anytime we hit a bump in the road. We got to IndyVet finally and were informed that he had spirally fractured his humerus, roughly a $3500-$4500 surgical repair.

Toby will be staying at IndyVet until Monday when the surgeon is back in the office to do a consult and likely perform surgery on him. If they do not have the appropriate parts to perform the surgery then he will have to wait even longer. Our reasoning for starting this GoFundMe page is that we desperately need any financial help we can receive with covering the costs of repairing our sweet dog.
