My name is Pili Salamia Odremán and I live in Tampa – FL.
This campaign has been created to help my brother Miguel. He is 50 years old, a man with a BIG HEART, full of energy, and a strong will for life. In April of 2017, he was diagnosed with Multifocal Motor Neuropathy (MMN), a highly incapacitating, progressive, and degenerating disease that diminishes his motor capabilities leaving him without strength to be able to move. The final result will be immobility and a life completely different from ours.
Currently, he is facing a very difficult situation because day to day, his ability to move his arms and legs is declining. He lives in Venezuela and, due to the dire situation this country is enduring, access to medications and therapies is practically none. Sadly, he has no opportunity to get the required treatment for this illness. His problems continue to grow each day, so we have no other choice than to ask for the help of family, friends, and whomever is willing to support this cause. Miguel urgently needs to be treated abroad to have a chance of a better quality of life and receive a treatment that will make him feel capable and active so that the possibility of living a life like any other person is not destroyed.
These funds are aimed to cover the costs of very expensive transfers, medical stays, and rehabilitation therapies. His situation is getting worse by the day, and we, as his family, want to help him to have a better life.

Mi nombre es Pili Salamia Odremán , vivo en Tampa – FL.
Esta campaña ha sido creada para ayudar a mi hermano Miguel, él tiene 50 años, es un hombre de un corazón inmenso, lleno de energía y ganas de vivir. En abril del 2017 fue diagnosticado con Neuropatía Motora Multifocal (NMM), enfermedad gravemente incapacitante, progresiva y degenerativa que va disminuyendo poco a poco la capacidad de su actividad motora, privándolo de movimiento y fuerza. Como resultado final, estaría totalmente inmóvil e ilimitado a ser un hombre útil y vivir una vida como todos nosotros la vivimos. En este momento su situación es muy difícil ya que cada día se ve más limitado para mover sus manos y piernas. Él vive en Venezuela y el acceso a medicinas y tratamientos es prácticamente nulo en estos momentos. Lamentablemente no tiene el soporte ni la oportunidad de tener el tratamiento requerido. Viendo que cada día se acrecienta su problema, no tenemos más que acudir a la ayuda de familiares, amigos y quienes se quieran unir a esta causa. Necesitamos urgentemente que Miguel sea tratado Fuera de Venezuela Para Ofrecerle mejor calidad de vida y un tratamiento que lo haga sentir útil y activo, no permitiendo así que día a día se destruya más su potencial para vivir como cualquier persona. Este proyecto, implica costos para traslados, estadía y tratamientos altamente costosos. Su situación empeora día a día y nosotros como familia queremos darle calidad de vida. Gracias por toda su ayuda y el apoyo económico y emocional que puedan brindarnos. Que dios los bendiga por su aporte.
