Helping the Ricottones

Hello all,

My name is Tim and I want to take a moment to tell you a story about my friend Chris Ricottone. He met his wife Lauren in 2014 while working at Warminster Ambulance. They got married in 2015. After the wedding Lauren began to experience some concerning medical issues. She had under gone a medical procedure. The medical procedure exposed that Lauren was pregnant with their first-born child Charlie. And they canceled the procedure. Lauren and Chris welcomed their newest addition to their family on January 9, 2016. Only a few weeks after Charlie joined the Ricottone family Lauren was given bad news as well. Lauren was told that she had Colon cancer. Lauren and Chris did what every other loving couple would do and come together. They began with Lauren’s treatments for her level 3b colon cancer. After a long stint of chemo and a surgery. Lauren received amazing news that she had beaten the cancer. Just a few months after this amazing news the Ricottone family announced that they were expecting yet another little bundle of joy. During Lauren’s pregnancy the oncologist closely monitored Lauren. During the pregnancy they found that Lauren’s cancer had returned but the Doctors believed that everything was able to be addressed after the birth of their son. Nearing the end of Lauren’s pregnancy, the Ricottone family was yet again stricken with hard times and they had to make the decision to put their family dog Lacey down. With all the heartbreak the Ricottone family was due for a win. Well luckily for Chris and Lauren they got the “W” they needed and Lauren gave birth to Michael Vincent Ricottone on August 30, 2017. The family was complete and everyone was so happy of all the things this family faced and over-came. Shortly after Michael made his grand entrance into the world Lauren’s Doctors discovered that her colon cancer had progressed into Metastatic cancer. In November, Lauren is undergoing surgery, leaving Chris to work Full time at Penndel-Middletown EMS and Part Time at Bucks County Rescue Squad, as well as take care of both a toddler and a newborn. This family has been bombarded with trials and tribulations and yet they stand strong together. Chris and Lauren have dedicated their lives to the medical field and helping strangers now they are the ones who need our help. I am hoping that the communities and EMS squads these two-amazing people have helped with be able to help them in return. Anything will help!
