Helping the Poling family

My 12 year old nephew Dakota has been sick for the last couple weeks, and has been admitted to the intensive care unit at Helen Devos Children's Hospital. They found that he has Nephrotic syndrome which causes the kidneys to release  proteins into the body instead of its intended function of holding them.  These proteins cause damage to other organs in the body.  His organs that have been affected are the spleen which has an infarction, (lack of blood supply) his heart is enlarged, and his pancreas has been traumatized. He has been thru several and is facing many more tests to see if any other organs have been affected. This syndrome also causes very high blood pressure which has caused his brain to slightly swell and a host of other problems. He also has pneumonia and is retaining fluid,  they are trying to find the underlying reason for the secondary nephrotic syndrome.  He will remain in ICU until they can stabilize his BP in order to get a biopsy of the kidneys.  He is experiencing so many symptoms, pain, blurry vision, trouble breathing, swelling, to name a few. Please pray for his comfort, healing and answers.  
 The family has a long road ahead of them, and my sister raises her three children on a single income. Although Kota is covered under insurance, Melissa has not been able to work during this time. She is by his side to care for him,  I hate seeing her worry about the bills piling up as she is off work without pay. There will be upcoming expenses for months to come with traveling from Allegan to Grand Rapids for follow up appointments.
