Helping the Merservy Family

We had a birthday party for the Meservy's little girl. She doesn't really understand why she can't go home, We are trying to make everything as normal as possible for her! She had a great time and she loved her dino cake that our son baked for her! I am hoping to get some updated photos of the house soon. Dave has been there every weekend working to get it ready for repair and then he works all week! He is exhausted! It is a hard demanding job! The money helped to get a dumpster in there to clear away the debris and the family is so grateful! Thank you to all who have donated, not only money, but time to help with the cleanup! It is greatly appreciated! God bless!

My husband and I have been friends with Dave and Kat Meservy for over 20 years. They are a very giving family and have helped others over the years. We took them lunch yesterday while they were working on the house. Like many people affected by Hurrican Harvey, they did not have flood insurance. I was able to give Kat some clothing that she needed, but the need is so much more. They have a grown daughter, Jess, who has been a big help with the cleanup. They also have a four year old daughter, Allana, who doesn't understand why she can't go home. Anything you can give is appreciated and we all are so grateful! Thank you!

They have been working on the house for two days now. As you can see they have removed a lot of sheetrock, insulation and household items. People have shown up and helped out! The family is so grateful for the outpouring of love that has come their way! The procrss will take some time. I have posted more pictures and updates that you can see if you click the update button on this page. I saw the house the for first time today. It saddens my heart. We appreciate all donations and are so very grateful! God bless you!

Our best friends Kat and Dave Meservy's house was flooded during the storms from Hurricane Harvey. They had about a foot and a half of water throughout the entire home. The loss is tremendous. They are wonderful people who are always willing to help others. My heart is broken and I want to help them. I have offered my home to them for a place to stay until their house can be repaired. My husband has been helping with the removal of damaged sheet rock, flooring, panelling and household items. Donations will go directly to the Merservy family to help repair their home and replace necessary household items. They have a beautiful 4 year old daughter who lost her bed and most of her toys. Every donation no matter how big or small is appreciated. Thank you so much and God bless you!
