Helping The Hawley's

We truly appreciate the the outpouring of support, in the wake of our parents, Laura and Greg Hawley’s, terrible accident that unfolded on March 21st. The outpouring love and support has been absolutely incredible. However, they’re not out of the woods by any means. They continue to need your love, prayers and support for the inevitable hardships and hurdles still to come in addition to the massive medical and legal bills that will be coming in the near future.


For those who aren’t aware, or don’t know the details, here is a synopsis of the events:
On March 21, 2019 at approximately 11pm Laura and Greg were on their way back to Dallas metroplex from San Antonio, driving on the Dallas North Tollway.  Out of nowhere, an intoxicated driver in a mustang, going over 100mph, lost control and rear ended them on the highway, hit their vehicle and slammed them into the divider. First responders were able to get both of them out of the car, resuscitated Laura, and immediately took them to the hospital via ambulance. 

Laura remains in ICU with a Diffuse Axonal Brain Injury(severity unknown at this time), broken wrist which was surgically repaired, two fractured vertebrae, nine fractured ribs, fractured pelvic/tailbone, a brain bleed (that has thankfully subsided),  lacerations and bruising all over her body, along with multiple other injuries. She was sedated and intubated for 5 days and was thankfully able to take her first non assisted breath on March 26th at approximately 11am.  She continues to make progress each day, but it is and will be for a while - a struggle. After the hospital she’ll have to endure a long period of rehabilitation to help return to what will never be a normal life for her ever again. 

Greg suffered a very serious concussion that could take a month to recover from, along with an infected hand, and an overall body full of pain, stiffness and bruising. He has fortunately been discharged, but continues to be at his wife’s side supporting her the best he can.

If you can provide any help for Laura and Greg, it will be appreciated more than words can describe. They need as much support as possible, as they fight to regain their livelihoods from another person’s reckless actions.
